Jason Miller, a former adviser to the former US president, told Fox News that Donald Trump is "working hard" to create a new social network. According to Miller, Trump is likely to reappear in "two or three months."
"I think we're going to see President Trump return to social media in probably two or three months," Jason Miller told Fox News.
"It will completely redefine the game, and everyone will be waiting and watching to see exactly what President Trump does. It will be his own platform," adds Miller, who held high positions in Trump's two presidential campaigns.
Trump's provocative use of social media was a noticeable feature during his presidency, drawing 88 million followers to Twitter. In addition, he often used this medium to attack his critics, to announce major personnel or political changes.
Twitter permanently suspended his account after it used it to encourage people to participate in the demonstration that turned into a violent attack on the United States Capitol on January 6. The former US president was also banned, temporarily or permanently, by other large platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat.
Since leaving Washington and returning to his residence in Maralago, Florida, the former president has remained relatively out of the limelight, releasing occasional press releases. Nevertheless, Miller warned that Trump is "working hard" to make a strong comeback.
The former advisor confirmed that the former president held many important meetings in Mar El Agou. He said that "many companies" visited him. He added, "This new platform that he intends to launch will be wonderful, and everyone will love it. It will bring millions and millions ... tens of millions of people to this new platform."
Despite Trump's defeat in November by Democrat Joe Biden, he remains influential in the Republican Party and has not ruled out his candidacy for the third presidency in 2024.
