Unveiling the "first space hotel in the world"

A new report has revealed the world's first commercial space hotel as an orbiting cruise ship, with luxurious bedrooms, bars, restaurants and cinemas.

Unveiling the "first space hotel in the world"

The Von Braun space station, designed by the Gateway Foundation, will build the hotel based on technology used on the International Space Station.

However, the space hotel will have industrial appeal, which makes both visiting and long-term living more enjoyable, unlike the space station, which has zero gravity.

The hotel will be in the form of a wheel with a diameter of 190 meters, and will rotate to create a gravitational pull similar to the one on the surface of the moon.

Around the wheel will be 24 units equipped with mattresses to sleep and other life support functions, according to The Gateway Foundation.

It will be decorated using natural materials, fabrics, comfortable lighting and paints, allowing the hotel's visitors to spend a wonderful vacation.

The hotel will provide services similar to cruises that take place on cruise ships, such as restaurants, bars, concerts, film screenings and educational seminars.

The Gateway Foundation aims to have the Von Braun space station operational by 2025, with the station expected to be visited by 100 tourists per week.
