US company Blue Origin successfully test its sightseeing vehicle


On Wednesday April 14th, the US company Blue Origin passed the fifteenth test of its New Shepard sightseeing vehicle.

The carrier rocket launched the spacecraft at 12.49 April 14 EST (19.49 Moscow time), and when the missile reached 100 km above the surface of the earth, the vehicle that landed on the ground with parachutes detached from it.

As for the missile, it landed vertically on a special platform 7 minutes after its launch.

It was an unmanned vehicle. The role of the tourist was a humanoid doll, which was equipped with various sensors. It was called "Sky Yuker" after one of the heroes of the movie "Star Wars" saga.

It is reported that the New Shepard can seat 6 passengers or carry useful cargo. And after the craft reaches the limits of the cosmic space, tourists can spend 4 minutes in weightlessness.

The company has yet to disclose the price of one ticket. But experts consider it to cost the space tourist 200 - 250 thousand dollars.
