Paris Hilton says she is "very, very passionate" about Bitcoin, stating that it is "definitely the future." Besides confirming that she is a long-term investor in bitcoins, the Hilton heiress put laser eyes on her social media profile picture and talked about her upcoming projects related to the non-exchangeable token (NFT).
Paris Hilton says Bitcoin is "the future for sure"
Hilton heir Paris Hilton spoke about Bitcoin and her upcoming NFT projects in an interview with CNBC last week. Paris, the granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels, is often called the "original influencer". While she is a media personality, social member, businesswoman, model, singer, actress and DJ, many people say she is “famous for being famous”.
“I've always loved being innovative and I did my first NFT in March of 2020 and won the NFT Charity Award, Best One of the Year, so that was exciting and now I see it explode in the past. The past few months have been very exciting,” she began. Hilton was then asked, "Does this mean that you are an investor in Bitcoin?" She replied:
Yeah. I'm really, really excited about that, too. It is definitely the future.
I was also asked, "Have you been using Bitcoin for a while?" Hilton simply replied, "Yes."
The heiress also later changed her social media profile picture to include laser eyes. The laser eyes meme has engulfed the Bitcoin community since February with the primary meaning that anyone who wears eyes is laser-focused on the bitcoin price that rises to $ 100,000. Politicians, celebrities, and investors have shared photos of their profiles and laid them with laser eyes, including pro-Bitcoin US Senator Cynthia Loomis and Shark Tank star Kevin O'Leary.
After meeting her, bitcoin workers on social media have enthusiastically welcomed Hilton into the community. However, some Twitter users wondered if the heiress actually understood how the encryption worked. In response to a comment suggesting that Hilton understands Bitcoin more than she does, financial writer Francis Coppola said: “One day you'll learn that filling your bags with bitcoin and understanding it are two completely different things. Paris Hilton filled her bags, but whether she understood bitcoins is unclear. My luggage is empty precisely because I understand bitcoin. ”
Among those who welcomed Hilton's adoption of bitcoin was Michael Saylor, CEO of Microstrategy, and his company has raised about 91,000 BTC in its vault so far. Tweet to Hilton:
If you don't understand laser eyes, then you don't understand bitcoin. Welcome to the Paris Hilton team.
The heiress replied: “Thank you, Michael. Excited to be a part of it. ”
There were also questions raised on social media about when Hilton actually entered Bitcoins. Popular TV personality Max Kieser tweeted that he and his wife, Stacy Herbert, spoke to Hilton several years ago about bitcoin, and they posted a photo of the three of them together as evidence. He wrote that at a party in Soho, New York City, “we talked with Paris Hilton extensively about Bitcoin,” noting that she “has been swallowing orange since at least 2018”. Along with Keizer, a number of people are speculating that she may have been in the cryptocurrency business since 2015.
Hilton also spoke about her upcoming projects at NFT during an interview with CNBC. She explained, "I have been working with some great artists and I first dropped in a few weeks and then planned for another artist after that."
"My First Country On Art" revealed. “I can't say much yet because it is surprising, but the first will be about art and the second will be about music and souvenirs. So it is surprising that the possibilities are endless with this. ” As Hilton noted, "It's something I've created with another artist that has to deal with empowering women."
