Facebook is known to replicate the success of other social networks, the company is already working on a version of Clubhouse, but it is also adding the video format.
This is Hotline, which is currently only working through a website and is in its general beta phase, but is already working on mockups for its final portable version. This platform takes the Clubhouse style by allowing rooms in which users speak with voice, who in turn can also ask questions through text.
However, the great addition to Hotline is that it allows creators to operate the camera while speaking so that it functions as a kind of Instagram Live, so its added value is allowing people to see users directly.
Another advantage of Hotline over Clubhouse is that it records all conversations and allows creators to upload them to other platforms such as Facebook or YouTube, while Clubhouse does not record audio and all content is ephemeral.
While Facebook is in the testing phase to compete with Clubhouse, the latter has made it official that it will allow its creators to receive direct payments from their audience as they will receive the total income that they send them.
