The new iPad Air may be cheaper, but it will be more powerful than the old version

DigiTimes reports that Apple is cycling its supply chain to produce new MacBooks powered by ARM processors as well as new tablets. The company has reportedly expected sales to increase in both product categories this year compared to 2019.

The new iPad Air, with a 10.8-inch screen this time, is said to be based on the iPhone SE 2020 strategy - which relies on an affordable price with a very powerful processor. The processor is likely to be the Apple A13, the same processor as the iPhone SE (2020), although there have been some conflicting reports on this topic.

IPad Air (2019) uses the A12 processor and starts at $ 500 for the 64GB model. And the iPad 10.2 has an old A10 chipset, currently at $ 330. So, the price of the 2020 Air should fall somewhere between these two devices.

There have been many rumors about the new iPad Air as there are already rumors that it may be the first iPad after the iPad Pro to rely on the USB-C port instead of the Lighting port, and another rumored feature in this new model is support for iPad Air 2020 for Magic Keyboard.

If you're in the market for a new iPad mini, it's coming next year, Kuo says. Interestingly, it is also reported that iPads will be bundled with 20W chargers, unlike iPhones that may soon come without a charger at all.

As for Apple's laptops, it is claimed that the 13-inch model of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are working on new Apple processors which are currently in development, and are due to be launched by the end of this year.
